This policy explains how Traveleez Peru SAC (RUC 20612102849), which operates Machu-Picchu.tours, collects and uses your personal data, in line with Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law N° 29733) and its regulations.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Traveleez Peru SAC, Cusco, Peru. Contact: info@machu-picchu.tours.
2. What data we collect
- Contact details: name, email, WhatsApp or phone number and country, when you request a quote or write to us.
- Booking details: full name, passport number, nationality, date of birth and, for students, a copy of your university ID. Machu Picchu tickets, Inca Trail permits and train tickets cannot be issued without them.
- Trip details: dates, travel companions, dietary needs and any health or mobility information you choose to share so we can run your tour safely.
- Payment details: processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data: our hosting provider may record the IP address, device details and requested pages in server logs to operate and secure the website. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics may also process usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser information and interactions with quote or WhatsApp links.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your requests and prepare your quote
- To book your tickets, permits, trains, hotels and services
- To run your tour safely and contact you during your trip
- To process payments and meet our legal and tax obligations
- To improve our website and, only with your consent, to send you travel news and offers
4. Who we share it with
We share only what each supplier needs to provide your services: the Ministry of Culture of Peru (tickets and permits), train companies, hotels, transport providers, local guides and partners, and payment providers. We do not sell your data. Some providers, such as payment and email services, may process data outside Peru with appropriate safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
We keep booking data for as long as needed to provide your services and to meet accounting and legal requirements, and then delete or anonymize it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
6. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics only after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. If you reject analytics cookies, Google Analytics is not loaded by the site. We do not use advertising cookies or Google Ads personalization through this website.
7. Your rights
Under Peruvian law you can request access to your data, and its correction, deletion or restriction, or object to its use. Write to info@machu-picchu.tours. We may ask for appropriate proof of identity before disclosing personal data. We reply within the legal deadlines. You may also contact Peru’s National Authority for Personal Data Protection.
8. Security
We protect your data with secure connections, restricted access and trusted providers. No system is completely secure, so please contact us at once if you suspect a problem.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
